Aside from the main arena events for you to watch we have lots of activities to take part in, all free of charge unless indicated.

Seek out our 'Willow Maze', or have a go making and decorating your own Batik Flag (£1 each) in the Big Top.

Discover our Chalk Sculpture Zone in the Gardens where Ruth and Theo will provide some creative ideas. Samuel is also doing African song and drumming workshops for those aged 8 to 88!

1st Woodcutt Scouts are offering tree climbing and have-a-go activities in the gardens for a nominal fee - be sure to check them out.

Again in the Gardens, after the success of our Wishing Tree, we're asking for poems and quotations which may be produced into an AONB Book of Verse and Prayer.

Courtesy of Rushmore Estate there is a Tree Trail in the Gardens for both adults and children. On Saturday we have musical family stories in the Big Top and folk dancing demonstrations at other times, whilst Fred the Forager will lead small groups out for a woodland foraging expeditions

Birds Hill Days are providing both archery for children and adults and a laser clay pigeon shoot, whilst DK Clays are providing a real 'have a go' clay shoot down in the Woodland (8 years plus) - various charges apply.

We have two Suffolk Punches offering 20 minute horse drawn trailer rides around the Rushmore Estate, book in at their stand. Cost £1 each under 5's FREE.

The Woodland Demonstration Zone has heaps of noisy demonstrations to watch from chainsaw carvings to big industrialised machinery in action. For a quieter activity, Pete Whiteman is demonstrating longbow firing at set intervals (adult supervision) check details with Pete at his yurt D1.

On Sunday we ring the changes with the two Story Box theatre workshops 'The Invasion of the Harlequin Ladybirds' in the Big Top, together with free Didgerido workshops for those aged 8 to 88, please come along and join in.

Matthew Burt

On Sunday we are pleased to announce that internationally renowned local furniture designer, Matthew Burt, will be judging and presenting prizes to craftspeople around the woodfair.

There will also be a category for the 'people's choice', so that you too can take part.
